My kindle fire gives me the message, "Sorry, your browser is currently not supported by Encore" Can download books via Overdrive but can't search for print on regular website.
This is only since the new website came online. It worked fine with the old one.

Hi Connie,
I was working with Kathy Halloran about this last week or so and didn't think about making a forum post out of it. Sorry about that.
III is aware of the problem - and it seems to be only an issue with the Fire's web browser. Other tablet browsers read Encore just fine. There's a new Encore release in the works that will work with the Kindle Fire, because Kathy and I tested it. This new release is in beta mode and still has some problems (for example, it would let me search the catalog, but messed up when it came to placing holds), and required some tech modifications of the Fire itself. I don't know when the new release is supposed to come out.
I believe Kindle Fire users can install alternative browsers on their device, such as Dolphin and Skyfire, which seem to handle Encore fine. This might be an acceptable solution for the meantime.
Sean
