Patrons are noticing the Zinio app isn't always appearing in the Amazon app store. There seems to be no reason for it. It appears for some devices and doesn't for others. Zinio has a link on their website, in the FAQ, allowing Kindle Fire users to do a direct download. jotformpro.com/form/13185032229Just passing this along in case you run into this odd problem. Sean

A patron with a Kindle Fire emailed Zinio directly and shared their response that Zinio said it was only availabe for iOS devices at this time.......so iPad, iPhon and iPod touch. I am guessing they are not committing to have it for Kindle tablets because it is glitchy or in beta or something.... I have not yet tried it on the Kindle Fire.

I just made a separate post about the Zinio app in regards to the Kindle Fire, but I thought I'd cross-post it here because the situation is starting to get very confusing. At first zinio wasn't on the Kindle app store, then it was put on; now it's been removed again. Zinio is maintaining their direct download link for the app at imgs.zinio.com/faq/fire.html It will direct download the .apk file and open it. When people tap on "Apps" on their Kindle Fire, they face two tabs - "Cloud" and "Device." The app will only appear if patrons tap on the "Device" tab. I mention this only because the Fire seems to default to the "Cloud'" tab and causes confusion when the app doesn't show.

Do you think this could have anything to do with the Kindle Fire versus the Kindle Fire HD which have a few differences?
