3M Cloud may ask for a username and password. Username should be the library card number and password should remain blank.

Another aspect of the 3M Cloud library that may need some investigation--do users have access to the books on their portable devices if they're not in a place with wi-fi?
From my experience, they do not. I took a Nook Color home over Christmas, and had downloaded 3 titles using the 3M app. However, when I got to my parents' house, I could not access the books. My parents do not have wi-fi, and it seems I needed to have wi-fi access in order for 3M books to appear.
Regardless of the cloud concept, I thought 3M titles downloaded to the device itself just like Overdrive files, but perhaps that isn't the case. Or perhaps I experienced a random glitch. Not sure.

Are you sure the books were completely downloaded? Or did they just appear in your "titles" list on your device app. I have noticed that with the both 3M and with One Click, the items will show up in your lists but you do have to give them a tap and watch the little bar download completely before you actually have the book downloaded to your device and ready to use in a non-wifi area. That might be the issue. I have been advising patrons to open the ebook while still in a wifi area to ensure it is downloaded and to check the details of the downloaded chapers for audionbooks to make sure those huge audion files have been successfully downloaded. You should for sure still have access to the books when not in a wifi area if they were for sure completely downloaded to your device in the first place........if you feel this is not the issue, let me know and we will report it to the 3M peeps.

3M appears to have turned on the 'notice' function. My iPad wanted me to update my 3M app this morning and that's what opened. It takes you to your 3M profile, and you opt in/turn on the notice function and enter your email address. Haven't had a chance yet to see what a notice looks like.

Yes, it could be that the book was not downloaded, or that the app needed updating. Just because it shows the book as checked out to you on the device and displays the days until expiration, you still need to tap the book so it will download. I like to verify this by looking at the first few pages for 3M and checking the details section of OneClick.
