I just learned last night that there is a new overdrive format that WILL let patrons download in the library from the public computers!!!!!!! It is called Next Generation Overdrive and Pikes Peak went live with it this week!!!! I am in contact with the person who does their group classes and she is going to let me know about bugs and such but the cost is not so bad to "activate" our public computers, so we are research the feasiblity of this for JCPL! I am excited about it, are you? Here is some more info about it and I will keep you posted. overdrive.com/News/OverDrives-Next-Generation-eBook-Service-to-Extend-Value-of-Digital-LibrariesIf you see this post, please respond! This new version of Overdrive sounds like a great improvement -- much easier to use! The complexity of the current version is quite a barrier for some patrons. I'm really looking forward to the new Overdrive!
